This band, America, has been in the business since they were kids (17-18 yrs. old).
They're still touring 40 years later. The fact that they cut a new CD in 2008, "Here and Now", is huge. But even more significant, is that they are still
pulling in new fans all the time. The age spectrum is a long one.
America - The Complete Greatest Hits, is very complete for those who want to sample their biggest sellers. That doesn't mean, by a long stretch, that their biggest hits are necessarily their best songs. Their resume is long, distinguished and versitile. The more one listens to their music, the more they like it. It's a haven of light rock pieces that engage the heart and souls of 'weuns.

| I absolutely love America. I am glad this CD is out now. I work at Wal-Mart and saw it there for only $9.00. So I will get it their and save the expense of postage. I have to say that out of all the song I love for all the different reason that I love them, my number one favorite song in the world (out of all the songs) is "You Can Do Magic". I don't think their is any song I enjoy listen to more, though Journey's "Why Can't This Night Go On Forever", Richard Marx's "Keep Coming Back" and Lara Fabian's "Adagio" are a pretty close call. America, to me is "As American as well apple pie. Yummy, delicious. If you have any doubts as to whether or not it is worth the purchase, rest assured it's worth ever minute, worth every penny. They are a great band, a great legend. Definitely buy it and listen often. 10 out of 10. |
