16 years and never missed a beat2010-07-225 / 5
I bought this pump in 1994 to get rid of condensate from a new Carrier Infinity ultra-high efficiency (96%) furnace and the whole house A/C installed with the furnace. I must admit, I probably have only cleaned this unit twice in all those years and it still pumps with unbelieveable reliability. Our situation is fairly demanding, it pumps up 7 feet and across the basement ceiling for 45 feet to drain in a laundry tub. I'm using 1/2" PVC tubing and it has always worked flawlessly. How can you go wrong with such a reliable unit, plus it's very quiet, not that I care all that much in my basement! This pump is a winner! Sure beats the other option the contractor offered: drilling a hole in the basement floor and running all that water under the slab! Had I done that, I'm sure our already damp basement would be even mustier. It already costs me about $75 a month during the summer to run two dehumidifiers full time.
GAS FURNACE MUST2010-07-095 / 5
MY NEW STYLE GAS FURNACE MAKES WATER AND THIS IS USED TO PUMP THE COLLECTED WATER TO THE DRAIN.
ALSO THE GARAGE FURNACE IS SIMILAR, BUT WAS INSTALLED WITH AN OUTSIDE DRAIN RUN....THAT FREEZES SHUT.
HAD TO MAKE THE TRAP, THAT ALSO WOULD FREEZE WHEN FURNACE WAS OFF,...AND FREEZE,.....DRAINABLE AND COLLECTABLE... SO THE PUMP IS
USED TO PUMP CONDENSATE INTO A COLLECTION BUCKET... THAT COLLECTS THE PURE CONDENSATE FOR GARGAGE USES ... WHEN IT THAWS OUT
WHEN FURNACE IS RESTARTED. FURNACE WILL NOT START IF THE TRAP IS BLOCKED AND FROZEN SHUT AS IT CAN NOT EXHAUST THE GASES FROM
COMBUSTION.
Good Value for the money2010-06-234 / 5
This was a replacement for an identical one installed with my new heat pump 4 years ago. From the get-go, the check valve on the original pump often leaked, allowing water to drain back into the reservoir and create short cycles.

The check valve on the replacement pump works very well and the barbed hose connector seems to work better than the old model. The barbed area has two plastic seams that can cause a poor seal when a vinyl hose is inserted over it. To make sure it doesn't leak, I slipped 3 small rubber washers over the outside of the hose where it connects to the pump to act as a hose clamp.

One thing that annoyed me is that the instructions contain nothing about how to clean the pump at the end of the A/C season (the inside tends to get all scuzzy, which can cause the check valve to fail). I called up the factory and they recommended running a strong vinegar solution through the pump to clean it. Seems to work reasonably well, as long as you pay attention to where all that vinegar is going after it's pumped outside...
Does what it is supposed to do...2010-06-084 / 5
I picked this up to replace a condensate pump that failed because it was much cheaper than others I saw with much better reviews. I have been using it for the past month and it has been doing exactly what it is supposed to do. No issues and would suggest it.
So far so good2010-06-055 / 5
This product has good review and I see why.

I have been using it for 3 weeks now and it has preformed flawlessly and is driving water through about 15 feet of coiled tubing with no problem. I suspect it can do much more.

It has solved the problem of moving the water produced by my humidifier in the basement.

I recommend the product.
