  • Made my large computer screen crisp and clear on a larger text setting.2010-08-205 / 5
I recently purchased a new computer that came as package including a 23 inch monitor. While my monitor had a HDMI port, my tower did not. So i hooked up the conection via a DVI cable. I happen to like large size print on my screen. I was sort of disappointed by the way the text and images looked.

I spoke with someone where i bought the computer and told them i was thinking about trying an DVI to HDMI cable. They said they didn't think it would make that big of a difference. Well i am glad i didn't listen to him because it DID make a noticeable difference and i am very pleased and would highly recommend this product to anyone!

Just what I needed at a price I couldn't believe. Don't EVER by cables from the local big box store, especially if you need normal (shorter) lengths. I think that if you have a 100 ft. cable run, the more expensive ones may give you a better signal. But for normal, everyday installations this is the place to go!
    Quality cables2010-01-305 / 5
After looking at a large selection of cables on and elsewhere, I decided to avoid the "under $15" cables due to the accompanying legal disclaimer that they weren't up to par:

    "Legal Disclaimer

"Beware of thin cheaper aftermarket cables. Generally cables under $14.00 can NOT be made up to current standards due to the current cost of copper increases! These "knock-off" cables will NOT provide full signal strenght from your PC/Projector and rarely support a clear 1080p picture. We suggest purchasing from a seller that distinguishes this difference in their notes field."

So I paid just a little more for 2 sets of these (for 2 new PCs I had just purchased). Some of the cheaper slections received good, yet mixed, ratings. I didn't want to take the risk on the cheaper cables to save a few dollars. Why purchase a nice PC to potentially cheapen your setup with questionable cables at a small price difference? Still, I didn't want to pay top-dollar for more expensive cables that apparently weren't really any better. If you're like me, these cables are good ones to get. I have a nice, crisp display on both PCs (both equipped with new, wide-screen monitors).

You might find another set for a little cheaper with the same quality (since there are so many choices), but these are perfect for the price without the risk of receiving sub-par quality and materials.

Gets the job done! Just remember, DVI does not do sound. I ended up buying a optical audio cable to hook my ps3 up to my computer speakers.
    Works beautifully2009-12-085 / 5
I use this to feed my PS3 signal to my monitor and it works beautifully. Despite the fact that my monitor is not HD and only supports 480p, I have been pleased with the quality I have been getting. Of course, my monitor is not my primary screen, and switching back and forth between my monitor and TV can cause some problems as the PS3 gets "confused" about what video signal to send out. For instance, I might use an HDMI cable to use the PS3 on my TV at 1080p, then bring it back to my monitor, to which my monitor tells me that the signal is not supported. The problem occurs with the included A/V cable or a component cable. There is a simple solution to this problem. While the PS3 is off with the red light on, hold the power button for five-six seconds until the system beeps a few times in a row. The PS3 will then boot up and ask what video settings you want. Presto!
