Nut meats, dried fruit and whole kernel corn make an ideal woodpecker food. Attracts Woodpeckers and some Nuthatches. Ingredients: split and whole peanuts, tree nut pieces, sunflower kernels, small yellow corn, dehydrated cherries, raisins, shelled pumpkin seed. Recommended feeders and placement: Wire mesh tubes work well. Squirrel baffles are recommended. Hang close to a tree trunk, and introduce the food by plugging feeder holes with suet or peanut butter.
