These blades fit fine on the mower. However they're only about half the thickness of the original blades. They seem to work ok and will as long as the ground remains flat. Once uneven ground is encountered I'm afraid they will easily bend. However is always a good deal compared to retail prices!

Over the past several years we have tried every blade for our 42" cut Craftsman mower, sold by and Sears with the exception of the Gator blade. We will test the Gator next.
However, to date this blade is superior to the others. Most of our acre yard is Zeon Zoysia. It is a beautiful grass, but it is very dense and difficult to cut, mower blades must be sharp and the lawn must be cut every four or five days. In addition, there is a section of the yard that is rough mowing, steep slopes and small rocks that show up on occasion.
We have found that some of the blades bend too easily even though they might be a heavier gage than others. Some blades do not hold an edge as well and/or nick more easily.
This is our first season with this blade. So far, it is doing a nice job of cutting the Zoysia, is holding it's edge well and has resisted bending. Most of the blades we have tried, have had to be resharpened by this time, or have bent in excess of our allowable 1/8".

Was not worth the money. Blade bent for apparently no real good reason. I pushed the lawn tractor out of the way to make sure I did not hit anything which I did not. There was no evidence of any impact to the blade itself. I was mowing in a bit of a sandy area and apparently the sand heated the blade and it simply bent downward and plowed into the ground. I have never had a blade do that. So don't waste your money like I did.

The Oregon mower blades actually work much better than the Sears blades. I would highly recommend these blades to all, plus the seller is great to deal with.

When I was searching the web for mower blades I saw an ad. You know, the generic type of ad manages to pop into every internet search you perform. My initial reaction was " Yeah, right "
2 blades plus shipping for the same price sears wanted for ONE BLADE.
The parts arrived promptly and were a perfect fit.
