I purchased this over other brands due to the reviews. I now feel comfortable paying a higher price for the Mantis. Easy start, easy to use (best going backward as noted in previous reviews). I was leary using it on sod but it did a great job attacking it and doesn't get tangled very easily (will get some of course). I used it all summer edging, tilling and removing sod. So far, so good.

| I thought about buying the Mantis Tiller for several years. I ordered the video and watched it each spring. I was hesitant about spending the money on something I would only use once in a while. Last spring I finally decided to buy the Mantis. I figured I use it to get my garden going, it wouldn't meet my expectation and I could send it back for a refund. Well, this tiller is everything they say it is. I wouldn't part with it and I've used it many times during the year,I even aerated my lawn. |

| The Mantis is a great tool for my medium size yard but you can not beat 's free shipping. Cost of shipping to Hawaii can cost more then the product itself. |

| Incredible piece of machinery. Worked fantastic on about 1000 sq feet of hard, root and rock infested land. Light but man this thing is a bull. Get weed reducers. Roots did get wrapped around the tillers, but only cleared them out every 300 sq feet or so because I wanted to not because I need to. Only took 2-3 minutes to clear. Kick stand is also a must have. Also purchased the Thatcher and aerator attachments. Also did a fantastic job. Boy did the Thatcher bring out the dead grass. Make a bigger job than what I thought, so leave yourself enough time. Only problem with the tiller is that the on/off switch is too close to the right thumb area so you accidentally shut off the unit a lot. To prevent this, I taped the switch to the on position. There is little chance that the machine will be running and you getting your body stuck in it unless you do something stupid. In closing I highly recommend this product and all its attachments. |

Purchased to do dethatching and aerating. This 2-cycle is working as hoped and the lawn is now dethatched and aerating is started (3/4 acre). The only problem I found is that using it more than an hour causing the arms to tingle - indicating some nerve issue. I now need to slow down and do no more than an hour at a time then rest. I expect to be using this routinely for dethaching, aerating, tilling, edging and cultivating.
The best part it is better to purchase through than the manufacturer. |
