The concept of the relocatable hose bib is great. Reason I bought it is I can't bend over too far it hurt the back. The only problem with this, it is not tall enough for easy useage.

I ordered one of these after reading the positive reviews, and before the negative reviews of July 15 and July 25 were available. It appeared to be well made, and I dug a hole in hard soil to insert the post before I tried connecting the extension hose. After the post was set, I connected the extension hose and turned on the remote faucet. Water sprayed out of the hose connection even though I tightened the extension hose as tightly as I could. I then tried another new connection hose with a new washer, and it still leaked badly. I then removed everything and noted that the tube for the connecter was split at the brazing/welding seam. I sent it back to and it was exchanged for another that had the same problem. I have now returned it for credit, and will go back to reaching for the the remote faucet. I live in Southern California where water conservation is essential, and leaking hose connections are not acceptable. The Garden Hose Bib Extender is a great idea, but has a major flaw in the thin metal brazed/welded tube that connects the incoming extension hose and the faucet.

purchased a Yard Butler HBE-6 Garden Hose Bib Extender for mother-in-law and unfortunately delayed too long in setting it up for her. long story short, it leaks badly at hose connection rendering the purpose of this tool useless. i bought an additional gasket to place behind the flange (that had arrived with a split in the metal); no dice. unfortunately this was discovered too late to return the item without penalty_ bad luck. If were more customer oriented we would see unconditional guarantees on products unseen/ untested.

Great Product. I have only been using this for a few weeks but it does exactly what I wanted. Luckily, I have it planted at the edge of a raised flower bed and it only took me one rock to stabilize it. It should go into the ground a bit deeper or have more than one stabilizing foot as it is top heavy.

What should have been simplicity itself has become an on-going headache. First this very heavy object was so poorly packed it had burst out of it box in transit. Maybe that's how the faucet handle (really too small anyway) was damaged. One wing broke off. So I got myself to Lowe's and Home Depot. Neither carry mere handles, just the entire faucet. Like buying a headlight assembly for a broken lens. A True Value hardware store had replacement handles and I was assured the splines were a match. But not quite! The Yard Butler attachment is off-spec just enough that no stock replacement fits. My search continues for something, anything to fit on this faucet. Furthermore the connection for the extender hose that comes from the original hose bib is either slightly out-of-round or similarly off-spec so that it leaked rather badly. And it has to be on all the time. Some special washers and a strong man with a pipe wrench finally ended the leak. Wish I had not fallen under the spell of a good-looking design and a promise of a solution to an out-of-reach(behind the rain barrel)faucet. Maybe you'd have a happier experience but this continues to plague me. And the idiots can't properly prepare a heavy object for shipping!
