a lot of noodling around...2010-07-253 / 5
You have to noodle around with this to get it adjusted the way you want.

If you have an irregular area that is difficult for other sprinklers to cover properly this might work.

But if you want to change the location of the Noodlehead from one place to another, be prepared to doink around with the noodles again.

If you can find an application where you can set it once and forget it, this might work for you.

I think the Noodlehead was a good idea that wasn't executed terribly well...

If you want a really really GREAT sprinkler, try this one: Dramm 15024 ColorStorm 9-Pattern Premium Turret Sprinkler With Heavy Duty Metal Base - Green (and it comes in different colors as well...)
love it!2010-07-155 / 5
I've used 'noodleheads' for years and love them. They let you direct the water to any plant you like. If you attach a water stopper to the hose, you can also decide the water flow volume. I'd recommend them to anyone with a yard. I have at least a dozen of them as I have a big yard and lots of hoses. Some days they're all going and not a drop is wasted.
Good for what it's designed for2010-07-145 / 5
Let's get the Cons out of the way first:
1. The noodles are a bit fussy to aim. But realize that they rotate also, and this becomes much less of a problem.
2. Each one does not spray much water. This can be a Pro or a Con, depending on the situation.
3. It is a bit light, and on uneven ground, even the weight of the hose can pull it off course. The ground stake fixes that.

The Pros:
1. Once you get the hang of positioning the noodles, it's easy to cover any weird shape. And they do loosen up with use. After a month or so of occasional use, mine stay pretty much where I point them.
2. With the pressure turned down, it's easy to give the plants a slow, deep soak.
3. The kids love it to play with too.

Bottom line: If you're a turn-it-on-and-forget-it type with oddly shaped areas to water, this is THE device for you. If you've just reseeded your entire front lawn, get a traditional sprinkler.
Cool product with limitations2010-07-144 / 5
Well in the search for the perfect sprinkler for those of us without ingrounds, I have to admit I purchased this because it looked odd and I bought into the variety of ways the sprays can be directed.

It works great if you need it to water lets say plants going across a fence or in front of house etc. That is mostly because you can shoot them all one way at first and then while it is on move the little hoses to where you want them aimed. The negative is that if you need to cover a wider and disparate area..you have to shut it off, move the nozzles, go back and turn it on and hope it is hitting where you want it to because obviously you will get wet trying to do it while its on.

Overall its a cool gadget that works best for watering in one specific area and aiming the nozzles to specific plants area. Its average as far as full law coverage and tough to make sure it hits everything.

I am using mostly to water along my fence in my backyard where my wife has alot of plants, my front yards cottage garden plants and the vegetable garden. My regular sprinkler i can then just make sure it waters the lawn and not worry about the plants/bushes/flowers.
Small areas only and wear a rain suit!2010-07-072 / 5
These are OK for a small area if you plan never to move it from the site.
